Few days back I was chatting with one of my colleagues and she was saying that se would go along with her husband to U.S and would stay there for few years and come back. For this few of us said its not practical that people staying out for some time and coming back and making oneself comfortable in India doesn’t go well for this she said why is that so ?? ... We said that things get so systematic there that you find adapting yourself to Indian not soo systematic/organised system very difficult. And as this conversation was on we were even able to make why some of our friends working BPO find those guys ( their clients ) dumb because even to get simpler things done they are dependent on their organised system like Customer Care be it getting one’s OS installed in computer (which in India every other guy knows) or be any simple job which otherwise can be done easily by oneself they depend on others because the system itself is so organised that you tend to not use your brains. But in India, which is growing in that direction, still most things are not that organised ( as of now ) and work is done by oneself in most cases , thus people utilize still large area of their brains to get such simple things done. I even heard in news few weeks back that in Bihar an electric train was pushed ( obviously for very less distance ) by its passengers when it broke down.
But I believe that we Indians are on the verge of becoming dumb ( if things not taken in right manner ) as the India is progressing and our system here is slowly getting organised. No I mean it guys .. because few days I realized that I have become so. Ok lemme try to prove it. We have an Airtel land line in our room and few days back it was giving a strange problem , hmmmm ... was able to hear the dail tone but when I used to press any key I was not able to hear the keypress sound , was neither able to make nor receive any calls.I called up the customer care and registered a complaint and he said by next day 12:00 am it will be done I said fine .Next day when I came back from office it wasn’t fixed yet so again I called up yelled a bit and ended up in registering another complaint and was again said that by next day 12:00am I said fine ( in very rude manner ).After finishing off work and somehow making my way out of the monsterous traffic I came back home completely pi**ed off.To my bad luck when I lifted the phone and about to make a call I found that the idiotic problem still exists that’s ittt took my phone connected to customer care and took him left and right .I even said that if it is not fixed by tomorrow afternoon, disconnect the connection I no more want it ( later I recalled it was my room mate who had got the connection for himself and his company was paying its bill ) …the guy said he will put this as very high priority issue and will make sure it is fixed by next day afternoon.When my temper came down i had my dinner and went to bed.
Next day when I came back home I was happy to see my phone working and said myself this is how things work in our country. Then I asked my parents, who were at home when the guy had come to fix it, what was the issue. They started laughing I asked whats the matter they replied “ he lifted the phone and banged on ground twice” . . .
Systems should be systemized for convenience not to make oneself doofus … Best of luck guys .. :-)

by the way 08044444121 (Airtel land line Customer Care ) which i thought toll free number from Airtel mobile is not sooo ... :-(

India Changing meaning of Colonialism
Hi everyone it’s been really a long time me written something, so here it is. Hope u guys will have some nice time reading it.
These days it is almost every day’s news, the progress India is making on economic front. So, I couldn’t resist myself to write on this topic. So here is that creation of mine wherein the Indian act or move on economic front is compared with colonialism (strange rite, it wont be very much). I guess all of you know about colonialism as India itself was colony of the mighty Britain, which exploited India in every possible way hmmm ok ok no more history, we had enough in our school days. So now lets go back to my perception about India spreading its colonies (new definition).
First lemme explain how is it working out for India or rather how India is spreading its colonies. One is top down approach, in this aspect I would see many Indian companies like Reliance, Tata, Birla to name a few acquiring companies in different countries and thus setting Indian colonies in these countries. Earlier Indian companies were least recognized but now some of our companies are really respected a lot worldwide.
The other is bottom up approach, in this aspect it is made up by the Indian work force. It is this skilled Indian workforce that is helping many of the countries to sustain growth of those countries. In many European countries, and in countries like US, Australia, Japan there isn’t enough work force to keep their country’s growing economically. Active work force in these countries is very less with majority being old aged people and this is even more worsened by the low birth rate in these countries. Forget about accelerating the economic development these countries need workforce to sustain the current growth. This is how the skilled work force is filling this gap and helping out these countries.
So one thing is still fuzzy rite, hmmm everything is well and fine but how is the definition of the colonialism getting changed. Lets look into that now. Colonialism precisely means to exploit the colonies by the country that has its colonies and using them for its own growth. But as said about India, colonization is not only helping itself, its own growth but also helping the colonies to grow to newer level.
In top down approach, Indian companies are taking rein of the ailing companies to help them out to grow overcoming the difficulties. This helps those countries not only monetarily but also in terms of employment. In return for Indian companies it is the best way to grow inorganically and getting foothold globally.
For eg :
If you look at Tata Tea’s acquisition of Tetley for 271 million pounds. It was the perfect blend. Tata Tea was a leader in India in the packaged tea segment with a presence in developing countries through exports. Tetley was the second largest tea brand in the world, with a presence in developed geographies. The integrated vista offered access to new markets and products to both, not to mention the synergy in tea buying and blending operations. Tata Tea could now offer tea to its consumers in any part of the world and in any form they wanted.
And in the bottom up approach as said earlier the countries with Indian skilled workforce will be able to sustain and even improve the development rate of those countries.
For eg in Japan:
Japan's population is shrinking and graying, at a rate probably unprecedented in history, and there is no sign the trend will stop soon. Not only is Japan's birth rate already among the lowest in the industrialized world, but also its pace of decline is the fastest, raising grave concerns about a possible erosion of the economy's international competitiveness as the population thins out.
Japan is at a historic juncture demographically, with the rapid aging of the population and precipitously declining birth rates. Japan's population began to decline for the first time since World War II last year, two years earlier than expected. The working-age population had already begun to shrink several years earlier. Japan's total fertility rate - the number of babies born to every woman during their reproductive years - stood at 1.29 in 2003 and 2004. If the current low birth levels continue, in the absence of changing immigration patterns, Japan's population, now 127.7 million, is forecast to shrink to half of its present size in 70 years, and to a third in 100 years. The percentage of people aged 65 or over has reached 20% of the total population, while that of children aged 14 or under has declined to 14% - a phenomenon eerily apparent on the streets of Japanese cities, where the laughter of children has become increasingly rare.
And on the other hand it will give Indians opportunity to earn and get good exposure, both these can be used years later if they come back to India. Using their money and exposure they can become part of the growing colonist called INDIA.

Live everyday, die only once….
Hi guys I am back again. This time I want to give some justification for my saying ' Live everyday, die only once'.
Hmm…. how to start. Yah!!! let me give my definition of death. According to me any guy who is least interested in his day today life and somehow wants to pass each day of his life is a dead person. One major culprit of making people feel so (dead) is monotony. Lets not discuss the other aspects, as I want this blog to revolve around this topic n don’t want to drag away.
Some months back I had been to some language-training program. There I met with one Sensei (teacher in Japanese, now no prizes for guessing which language training I went for) named Leela san (san of course is also a Japanese word). The kind of spirit, energy n enthu she had was just incredible. The way she used to make studies so interesting was amazing. Her sense of humor was so gud that her lectures used to be full of fun. You people must be thinking why the hell am I making fuss of all these things. Well, the point is, her age was 70. Now it is really hard to imagine a person at that age having blast of time, active and full of positive spirit each day. When I gave a bit of thought and later confirmed from Leela san herself, then what I got was a new mantra of living life.
This mantra is to be occupied by something or the other and not allowing your monotony to engulf you as it is very difficult to get out of it. So it is very essential to use time and energy appropriately/efficiently to fight out the monotony and make every day of your life more interesting and joyous. Leela San herself started learning Japanese language at the age of 48 and still her hunger to excel in that language is immense. It is this crave to learn something new everyday that has helped her to live everyday with full of life even at this age, when people are dead (in my terms).
The other day while discussing about the same topic with my friend, I said that how fortunate are we humans, as to break monotony from our lives n make it more interesting we have so many things around us (Unfortunately, she dint agree to wat I said). But let me explain what I wanted to say. We have music, movies, sports and so many other things to do.
If you take music itself, again we have so many things to explore in it, it’s like an ocean. There is Rock, Melody, Hindi Oldies, classical, Ghazals (my recent crush in music) so there is no end and take it from me it feels awesome exploring different kinds of music.
Then there are different kinds of movies. Animation movies (some days back I was mad about these movies, used to see on weekdays too aaahhhh!!), action, thrillers (latest crush of mine in movies), romantic, war based and the list goes onnn…..
And then for those who like reading, there are lots of novels to explore. I dont want to again list down again as done above but it is worth trying for different books.
So as I said the list goes on, it is up to us to choose any of these, which we can accommodate into our daily schedules. These are the things, which help us to refresh ourselves and most importantly to make each day of ours more interesting. In our busy schedules and hectic lifestyle we get so stressed out that we are virtually dead, when everyday we come back from office. What I want you people to do is that just find out what is it, which gives you pleasure. What is it which u wanted to do since your childhood but never got an opportunity to do that? Every individual has his own likings and interests. Just find it out and go for it. A person may be good in arts, painting or writing. Just give some 1 or 2 hours everyday to it. Try to cultivate some passion for it. The idea behind is just that U are the one that knows yourself the best. U know what will keep you happy and what will not. And the bottom line is, only if U r happy, U can keep people around U happy. So, if you want U, your family and your friends to be happy then just LIVE each and every moment of your life in real terms.
Well guys the point, which I wanted to bring out, was to make life more happening, filled with variety, enthu, fun etc. Life is a journey (as everyone knows) so make every day a special one, when it ends you should say ahhhh!!! What an experience was it. I think that is all for this blog, would like to end my article with a very popular sher in Hindi ……

Dolphins Analogy

As usual I would like to start with my evergreen statement that 'Life is precious. Here every day counts because no one knows when this sweet journey will end. So live every day as though it was your last day'.
I don’t know how many of you will agree with me, but I wish after reading this article at least few of you will give a thought over it. Well, one fine day I got a thought of comparing human life with that of a dolphin and what continues is the analogy, which I got. A dolphin, which is, one of the sweetest and most intelligent animals, has become quite popular in human culture due to its friendly appearance and seemingly playful attitude. If you observe carefully you can easily see the charm, energy and enthusiasm with which it jumps out of the surface of water to breathe. I would like all humans to have the same charm, spirit, and zeal till they are on this ocean called earth. To me all these things would mean, a positive spirit to live life. Helping, loving, caring people around you might increase this positive spirit to a very great extent. But imagine if the dolphin is tied to bottom of the ocean with shackles and is not allowed to come to the surface, obviously it shall not live. In the same way if we tie ourselves with shackles like worries, tensions, attachments, jealousy, hatred, inferiority etc and make ourselves depressed then we will not able to live at our best. It is only by sheer knowledge and awareness that an individual can identify these shackles. Repeated efforts shall wisely make him break these shackles whenever he gets tied to them, so that always he lives life at his best.
Improvisation and contentment are the two keys to a happy and successful life. Just keep on mending your mistakes and learn from them. I would like to quote here some beautiful words by Mahatma Gandhi.
"Live as if your were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever."
So, learn from your mistakes and try never to repeat them in future. Once you accomplish it and make it a habit of improvising yourself, self-contentment will automatically come to you. I know it’s difficult to satiate oneself in this world of materialistic pleasures. But its only, when you learn to be satisfied with what you have, you will not be bothered of materialistic things like money and power. As far as my knowledge goes individuals who know that life has to end one day, would more easily understand these concepts. Money, relationships, competition etc all these are things which add some interest in our lives not to ruin it.
Hope that at least few have got the things explained above. If at least one reader will be influenced by my thoughts and will accept this truth of life, then I will feel my purpose of writing this article was solved. We came empty handed with no relations. When it ends even then the same applies, so just make the life between that duration a memorable one. We are very fortunate to be born as humans. Don’t let this experience go in vain.
